COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a car and bicycle that happened late Saturday night in the downtown area.
They report the bicyclist sustained only minor injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene.
According to police, a black or dark colored 4-door sedan was traveling west on U.S. 12 at Marshall at around 10:40 p.m. when it struck the bicyclist.
The rider was thrown clear of the bike, though the bike became lodged under the car and was dragged for several blocks.
The suspect vehicle was reported to have front end damage.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Coldwater Fire Department and Lifecare Ambulance.
