BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings swept Jonesville 14-3 and 11-1 on Tuesday in a Big 8 Conference girls softball doubleheader.
Addison Harris was the winning pitcher in the opener as she recorded 11 strikeouts in six innings of work.
Paige Roussey led the offense with four singles and two RBI’s. Haylie Wilson, Addison Harris and Kaylee Wilber all drove in two runs.
Ashlynn Harris was the winning pitcher in the second game as she struck out nine in five innings.
Roni Bir had two singles and two RBI’s.
Coach Becky Grey said, “We started out a little slow the first game but picked it up. We need to continue to improve on both sides of the ball. Our hitting is showing signs of improvement but we have not put it all together yet. It was nice to get two wins in the league against Jonesville.”
Bronson is now 5-6 overall and 4-0 in the Big 8 Conference.
