COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater romped to a girls softball doubleheader sweep of Hastings on Tuesday as they won by lopsided scores of 17-1 and 20-0.
Coldwater improved to 10-3 overall and 4-0 in the Interstate 8.
Alexis Bills and Danika Cox combined on a one hitter in the opener.
Bills was the winning pitcher and drove in six runs. She along with Brooklyn Kerry both had three hits.
Second game winning pitcher Mackenzie Scheid homered and drove in three runs.
The Coldwater J.V. girls softball also swept a doubleheader from Hastings by scores of 24-0 and 18-0.
Mackenzie Searing was the winning pitcher in both games and threw no-hitters in both contests.
