BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings split a girls softball doubleheader with Schoolcraft on Thursday night on the Vikings home diamond.
The Vikings lost the opener 10-2 before bouncing back to win the nightcap 12-10.
Ashlynn Harris led the Vikings offense in the first game with two singles, a double and a stolen base. Brealyn Lasky had a single, a triple, two RBI’s and a stolen base.
Harris continued her hot hitting in the second game with four hits which gave her six hits for the doubleheader. She had three singles, a triple and drove in two runs.
Lasky had two singles, a double and two RBI’s. Aubrey Calloway homered and drove in three runs. Kaylee Wilber had two singles.
Bronson coach Becky Grey says, “We bounced back after a tough first game. I was proud that we were able to find a way to win a close game. We also did well offensively both hitting and small ball. That was a big win for us.”
Bronson’s overall record is 6-7. They will face Reading next Tuesday.
