COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners brought forward during their work session on Thursday an out-of-state travel request from the Sheriff’s Department so that licensed drone operators David Fillmore and Doug Pope can get training.
The training will take place in Nashville, Tennessee during the week of June 19.
Sheriff John Pollack told the Commissioners the training will cover search and rescue operations.
He said most other area Sheriff Departments now have a drone.
Formal action by the Commissioners is scheduled to take place next Friday.
