COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After having to be moved last year, a popular summer time event in Coldwater will be going back to its old location.
The Corner Farmers Market will be moving back to the northwest portion of the downtown Coldwater Four Corners Park this summer after the Coldwater City Council approved a request on Monday night.
A portion of Randall Plaza near the south side of City Hall had to serve as the 2022 market location due to renovation work on the northwest side of the park.
The Downtown Development Authority Board approved a request from Corner Farmers’ Market Treasurer Luke Bovee on Wednesday morning to re-commit a $1,500 donation for their ninth season.
The Corner Farmers Market will operate every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for 12 weeks beginning on June 24.
The Corner Farmers Market has been in downtown Coldwater for seven of its eight years.
It had to move to the south end of the AYSO Creal Soccer Complex parking lot at State and Marshall in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the possibility of the Four Corners Park being under construction.
