MENDON, MI (WTVB) – After starting the season 1-9, the Quincy girls softball has gotten hot.
They won two games on Saturday at the Mendon Hornets Invitational which stretched their winning streak to six in row.
Quincy defeated Eau Claire in their first game 16-0. Danika Skirka was the winning pitcher as she tossed a one hitter and struck out three.
The Orioles pounded out 14 hits led by Deziray Skirka who had three hits including 2 doubles. Kaylee Modert drove in four runs.
The Orioles defense also did not allow an error.
Quincy kept rolling in the second game as they defeated Cassopolis 11-6. Brooke Hartman got her first varsity win pitching 3 2/3 innings allowing four runs on three hits and striking out two.
Alyssa McCavit finished off the game in the circle as rain ended the contest after five innings.
The Orioles collected 11 hits. Kaylee Modert, Kailey Allman and Deziray Skirka all had two hits.
The third game against Mendon was rained out.
