BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson has announced that crews will be flushing fire hydrants for three nights starting this Sunday, May 7.
The flushing will take place between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says they apologize for any inconveniences the flushing may cause. “On occasion, the water in the areas of flushing may temporarily have a reddish/orange rusty appearance as flushing can disturb iron sediment in the water pipes and cause the discoloration. If this occurs, please run your cold water at the tap closest to your water meter for several minutes to clear your lines.”
The City advises residents to refrain from doing laundry during the three days the flushing will be taking place.
