BUTLER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The 71st season of racing at Butler Motor Speedway gets underway on Saturday night as Tim Wilber and his family enter their second season as the track owners.
Numerous improvements were made by the Wilbers last year and fans will notice even more changes at the high-banked 3/8-mile dirt track for 2023.
The sound system has been updated in the grandstands and pits. In addition, the track will implement a short-range FM transmitter to broadcast a live PA feed.
The track will also be using what they are calling a new and improved championship points structure this season.
Starting this year, points will be awarded to the top ten qualifying drivers, in addition to their performance during the races.
Racing is scheduled to take place every Saturday night through September 16. More details can be found at butlerspeedway.com.
