Four departments called in to battle fire on Iyopawa Road

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Four fire departments had to be called in Saturday morning to battle a fire which caused major damage to a home at 478 Iyopawa Road.

Lakeland firefighters were dispatched at 5:42 a.m..

They received mutual aid over a nearly two hour period from Fremont, Bronson and Quincy firefighters.

Life Care Ambulance stood by while the Branch County Sheriff’s Department provided traffic control along the narrow road which leads to Iyopawa Island.

The fire destroyed an attached garage and the roof of the home. Further information on the fire is unavailable.
