COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater will once again pause on Memorial Day to honor military members who gave their lives for their country.
Joe Renshaw will once again be organizing Coldwater’s Memorial Day events.
The events will begin with a ceremony at the Downtown Four Corners Park at 8:30 a.m..
There will then be a parade from the Four Corners Park to the Coldwater American Legion Post 52 starting at 9:15 a.m..
A ceremony on the Coldwater River Bridge for servicemen lost at sea will take place at 9:40 a.m. followed by a service in the north section of Oak Grove Cemetery at 9:50 a.m..
“A Gathering of Flags War Memorial Ceremony” at the south side of Oak Grove Cemetery is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. that morning.
Funding for the ceremonies is being provided by the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club, the Branch County Community Foundation and local veteran and realtor Jerry Ford.
