Trey M. Nagle, 24, of Austin Texas, formerly of Coldwater, “I’m here for a good time not a long time”. On March 23rd I found out how short my time really was when I passed away unexpectedly at my home of natural causes.
Come celebrate my life Friday, May 19th, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home. A potluck dinner will follow at Occasions Hall, next to the funeral home. I mean, seriously, what could you possibly have better to do on a Friday night, than celebrate my awesomeness and talk about me for hours!
I was born November 27, 1998 in Coldwater, MI to my parents obviously, Ron & Michelle (Music) Nagle Jr. Thanks Dad for finally making my mother a Nagle. I graduated from Coldwater High School in 2016, where I studied Culinary Arts through the Career Center. I went on to earn my Associates Degree from Kellogg Community College.
I was never really sure what I wanted to be when I grew up. I just know I tried to avoid growing up as much as possible, because adulting is a trap, while still living my best life.
Just like most teens I started my working life detasseling corn on summer breaks. I worked in management for Hungry Howie’s and Buffalo Wild Wings before starting at Wal Mart DC. Then came the big move to Austin, Texas in December of 2020. There I also worked in management for Jason’s Deli and Iron Bear Bar.
As a kid I was active in karate, baseball, and Tibbits Young Audiences productions. After my big boy move to Texas I discovered my true self. I also found my love of playing kickball, dodgeball, softball, and more importantly the bonds they created. Don’t forget my favorite pastime, stressing my mom out from miles away. Really, what was she going to do to me?
Some of my other passions in life were Marvel, Greek mythology, astronomy, and reading. My family and friends were very important to me. Each and every one of them helped in some way to form me into the great man I turned out to be. I hear a lot of people say I was kind, very witty and snarky. My mom even goes as far as saying dramatic…. Name one time Mom! Just one time! I was never afraid to stand up for myself and others or something I truly believed in.
I am survived by my parents Ron & Michelle of Coldwater; my older but not bigger brother Austin Nagle, my little sister Taylor Nagle both of Coldwater. Yep that makes me the middle child and we all know what that means. Ok, back on topic here; my great-grandma Nancy Scantlen, my grandparents Brenda Jolin of Litchfield, Charlie Lewis of Coldwater; aunts and uncles James Hartman of Angola, Rhonda Nagle of Quincy, RaeShelle Davis of Jackson, Hope Pye of Ft. Wayne, IN, Emma White of Coldwater, Tammy Hanes of Plano, IL, Allen Nagle of Quincy, Phillip Music of Homer, Darwin Eubank III of Coldwater & honorary uncle, “Ya Big Tony”, Anthony Frazier of Coldwater; many great aunts and uncles; 1.5 million cousins, my very best friends Olivia Stempien of Coldwater, Audriana Wilt of Louisville, KY, and all of my friends turned family in Austin, Texas.
I was preceded in death by my grandparents Ronald Nagle, Sr. and Austina Hartman-Wallo.
Always remember, in the words of the great Captain America……I will be with you “Until the End of the Line.”
Memorials may be directed to The Trevor Project.
