COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting was held on Monday afternoon for Dickey’s Barbecue Pit at 445 East Chicago in Coldwater.

The restaurant’s new owners are Vanessa Ingersoll and Troy Cook. You may have noticed the building being renovated and updated over the last few months after Ingersoll and Cook took over as owners.
There have been numerous improvements both inside and outside including a new parking lot.
Ingersoll and Cook are attempting to bring the restaurant back to life after the last couple of owners had more than their share of problems over the last year or so.
Those problems included negative reviews on social media platforms about the quality of the food and service.
Things got so bad in February of 2022 there was a hand written sign on the locked door that said the restaurant was “closed due to non payment to workers”.
The new owners plan to be open every day between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.. Dickey’s has been operating at its current location in Coldwater since November of 2013.
