UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings girls softball team remained perfect in the Big 8 Conference on Tuesday afternoon as they swept the Union City Chargers 17-1 and 15-5.
Addison Harris was the winning pitcher in the three inning opener. She also had three hits and three RBI’s. Ciara Blankenship had four stolen bases and Haylie Wilson swiped three bags.
Mya Webb got the win in the second game. Blankenship had four singles and five stolen bases giving her nine for the two games. Lydia Wells had two singles, a triple and two RBI’s. Kailynne Scare had a single and a triple.
Bronson’s overall record is 17-10. They are 10-0 in the Big 8.
Coach Becky Gray said, “It was really nice to have all the girls in the game and able to contribute to our wins tonight. We struggled a little defensively but we were able to make it up on the offensive end.”
