GRASS LAKE, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater lost a pair of non-conference games Thursday at Grass Lake, the tenth-ranked team in Division 3 according to the latest Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association poll.
In the opener, the Warriors scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning to win 4-3. Rylie VanAken had three hits for the Cardinals, including her sixth home run of the season, while Danika Cox also homered.
Coldwater was no-hit in the nightcap, 10-0 in five innings, as the Cardinals fell to 18-7 on the season. They will face Garden City, Grandville, and Niles Saturday during the Coldwater Invitational at The Rotary Softball Complex.
