COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Local employers are being reminded that a workforce talent needs survey for manufacturers in Branch County closes this Sunday, May 21.
According to a news release issued by the Branch County Economic Growth Alliance, 20 employers representing more than 2,500 jobs have filled out the survey so far.
They say the survey results will help determine how to improve the availability of trainings and other resources that lead to greater talent retention and a larger talent pipeline for the region.
The survey can be accessed at Coldwater.org or by contacting Audrey Tappenden directly using atappenden@coldwater.org.
BCEGA Executive Director Lisa Miller says, “We are excited to see local employers support this survey effort. Our goal is to collect information from employers of all sizes in Branch County.”
Results of the survey may also impact how the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Promise Program tailors its grants and funding, among other possibilities.
The survey effort is being led by a group of partners throughout Branch County. Members include Sekisui Voltek, Clemens Food Group, Kellogg Community College, Branch County Economic Growth Alliance, Branch Area Careers Center, Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Promise Program, Michigan Works! Southwest, Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Bronson, City of Coldwater, and the Village of Quincy.
