QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Village of Quincy is seeking two Requests for Proposals for a new salt barn and for the development of over 10 acres of property at the end of East Jefferson street.
Village Manager Brittany Butler told the Village Council last month that there is an immediate need for a new Department of Public Works salt barn.
The deadline for the Requests for Proposals was extended for a month after a number of companies requested drawing specifications that had not been completed by Fishbeck of Grand Rapids.
R.F.P.’s will now be accepted through June 19. Salt is delivered in November in time for the winter driving season so village officials say the barn would need to be completed prior to that time.
The Village of Quincy is also accepting R.F.P.’s through June 19 for the development of property near East Jefferson and Grove Street that was purchased from Quincy Community Schools. The agreement between the school district and the village requires that the property be developed no later than January 25, 2028.
