BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – What is being called an historic investment in Battle Creek Public Schools graduates was made on Wednesday thanks to a partnership between BCPS and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
The Bearcat Advantage scholarship is designed to prepare graduates for career, college, and community success.
School officials say starting with the class of 2023, eligible BCPS graduates will now have access to a scholarship covering up to 100 percent of tuition and mandatory fees at any four-year university or college in Michigan or at one of nearly 100 eligible historically Black schools across the country.
Students who have attended all of high school at BCPS are eligible. Any student who attended BCPS since kindergarten can get the 100 percent scholarship.
Graduating seniors will receive an email to log in to the Bearcat Advantage student portal, where they can view their personalized eligibility for a scholarship.
