JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – An Osseo man had to be airlifted by the Samaritan Helicopter to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne for treatment of injuries on Thursday night after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened at about 5:45 p.m. on Hudson Road, which is also known as M-34, near South Bird Lake Road.
They report 60-year-old Charles Andrew Jackson Vallance was crossing Hudson Road when he pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Adam Edward Pelfrey of Pittsford.
Deputies say Vallance was knocked off his bicycle, rolled over the windshield and landed on the road.
The Jefferson Township Fire Department, Hudson Ambulance were among those who assisted the Sheriff’s Office.
