COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was sent back to the Michigan Department of Corrections on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after admitting his guilt to a drug charge.
41-year-old Justin Posante was given a prison sentence of 18 months to 10 years after he entered a guilty plea to a methamphetamine possession charge.
He was sent to prison in November of 2020 to 21 months to 15 years for possession of methamphetamine second offense as well as 21 months to 60 months for unlawful driving away of an automobile. The sentences were to run concurrently.
Posante was paroled on August 9, 2022 but was arrested on the latest charge on January 23, 2023.
According to the Michigan Department of Corrections website, Posante was convicted in 2003 for attempted uttering and publishing and in 2017 for possession of a controlled substance.
