COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater resident encountered an owl last month who was injured and unable to fly.
Upon feeding it to build up its strength, the resident reached out to Wildside Rehabilitation & Education Center of Eaton Rapids which is a non-profit federally licensed wildlife rehabilitation center to provide additional treatment and care.
The ultimate goal was for successful rehabilitation and release back into its natural habitat.
The owl was scheduled to be released back into its local, natural habitat, at 688 East Chicago Road which is the location of the MCCU branch in Coldwater.
The Coldwater resident happens to be the architect involved in the construction of the new branch and MCCU’s mascot happens to be an owl.
A $500 donation will be made to Wildside Rehab & Education Center on behalf of MCCU.
