BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – There will be many ways Branch County residents will honor military members who gave their lives for their country on Memorial Day this Monday.
Coldwater’s Memorial Day events will begin with a ceremony at the Downtown Four Corners Park at 8:30 a.m..
It will be followed by a parade from the Four Corners Park to the Coldwater American Legion Post 52.
Following a ceremony for servicemen lost at sea and a service in the north section of Oak Grove Cemetery, “A Gathering of Flags War Memorial Ceremony” at the south side of Oak Grove Cemetery is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m..
The Bronson American Legion Post will be holding a Memorial Day ceremony at 10:00 a.m. at the Bronson City Cemetery. There will be no services this year at the Four Corners.
The Village of Union City and the Union City Chamber of Commerce will once again host the annual Union City Memorial Day Parade and Cemetery Service. Monday’s parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. sharp from the Union City High School parking lot. The Cemetery Service at Riverside Cemetery will follow the parade. In addition, the Union City Fire Department Auxilary is holding a Pancake and Sausage Breakfast at the Fire Hall from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. where veterans eat free.
The Quincy American Legion will be hosting a parade on Monday. The parade starts from the Legion at 11:00 a.m.. Participants are asked to line up at 10:30 a.m.. The parade will travel on U.S. 12 to West Street before heading to the cemetery for a ceremony.
