QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – As the boating season gets underway on Branch County’s waterways, the Branch County Marine Patrol will be holding a pair of free boat inspections over the next couple of weeks.
The North Chain of Lakes Association along with the Marine Patrol will conduct free inspections at Rotary Park in Coldwater on Sunday, June 4.
The other free boat safety inspection will take place at the Marble Lake Public Launch on Sunday, June 11. It is being held through a partnership between the Marble Chain of Lakes Improvement Association and the Marine Patrol.
The inspections on both days will run from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
Those boats approved will receive a boat inspection sticker. Those boats not approved will be given a list of items that need to be addressed.
No citations will be issued for those that don’t pass inspection on those days.
