KINDERHOOK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – For the second time in three days, the Branch County Sheriff’s Department made an arrest Sunday morning in connection with recovered stolen property.
After four persons were taken in custody Friday at a residence on Grass Lake Road, the Branch County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were investigating a followup report of stolen property on Shawnee Drive in Kinderhook Township that led to the execution of a search warrant.
The Sheriff’s Department says they recovered stolen items from Ovid Township and from Steuben County, Indiana.
They say there was a cross that was in plain view which was stolen out of Steuben County which was denied by 35-year-old Charles Beerman.
Two large flower pots that were said to have been stolen from a local marina were seized at the residence along with methamphetamine and guns.
Beerman was taken into custody and booked at the Branch County. He has been formally charged with possession of methamphetamine and two counts of receiving and concealing stolen property.
Bond during his arraignment was set at $25,000. A probable cause hearing was set for June 8 with a preliminary exam on June 15.
