COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A new principal at Coldwater High School has been hired to take over for Bill Milnes.
The Coldwater Community School Board of Education approved the hiring of Ted Davis last week.
Davis has been the Principal at Midland Dow High School for the past four years and has worked in various administrative positions with the Midland Public School District since 2007.
He has 28 years of experience in education. Davis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin College and a Masters degree from Ball State University.
Milnes says Davis plans to meet with Coldwater High School staff next week.
Davis says his wife’s family lives in the Hillsdale area.
After serving as principal at Coldwater High School for the past 15 years, Milnes announced in April this will be his last year in that position.
Prior to taking the Coldwater High School position, Milnes served as principal at Quincy High School.
The school district is also making the transition in the superintendent’s office this summer. Paul Flynn will be replacing the retiring Terry Ann Whelan, beginning July 1, 2023.
