There will be “something for everyone” at this year’s Beginnings Care for Life Walk & Run, being held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Coldwater.
This annual event includes a free 1-Mile Walk around Heritage Park, a 5-K Run, free refreshments and children’s activities, and a drawing for prizes.
On-site registration begins at 8:00 a.m., with the Walk and Run start time of 9:30 a.m. Welcome, prayer and the remaining activities begin at 9:00 a.m.
New this year, Chick-Fil-A will sell lunch items, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
“The people of our community are so supportive” says Jane Ford, Director of the Center. “Once again, they’ve partnered with us by supplying funds, discounts, drawing prizes and silent auction items so that we can have a great fun- and friend-raising event”.
Over fifty Silent Auction Items have been gathered and are ready for bidding. They include a Milwaukee Cooler with tools from CEM Supply, Culy’s & Keiss Jewelry items, Hair Products from Custom Beauty Solutions and Studio 17, Children’s Items and a Pickleball Basket.
Houseware items, Gardening Baskets, a Fall Clean Up from Plum Tree Landscaping (valued up to $400.00), Gift Certificates and Items from Sycamore Farm, Neitzerts and Showcase Gardens Nurseries.
There are also many Gift Certificates for goods and services, including: Swicks, Legg Lumber, Hawver Steamway, The Foundation, Bella Vista Golf Course, NCG Theatre, Adventure Zone, Bill’s Steakhouse and Grill House, Tibbitts, Culver’s, Ponderosa, Capri Drive In and Critchlow’s Alligator Sanctuary.
Every dollar raised goes to sustaining Beginnings Care for Life Center, Branch County’s only Pregnancy Care Center. This organization provides free pregnancy, parenting and healthy relationships support to hundreds of individuals and families each year.
