Mark W. Hicks, 58, of Sherwood, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family.
A celebration of Mark’s life will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City, with Pastor Trent Hammond of Crossroads Bible Church officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 8, 2023, also at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Mark is survived by his wife, Terri Hicks, of Sherwood; his children, Dustin (Shian) Hiller of Kendallville, IN, Alan Wheeler of Baton Rouge, LA, Dereck Hicks of Bronson and Mariah Hicks of Bronson; grandchildren, Kolten, Jaydon, Nathanael, Ellie, Deklen and Sophia; siblings, Chuck Preston of Sherwood, Victor Preston of Battle Creek, Howard Preston of Three Rivers and Nila Fields of Luxora, AR; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Dora Hicks.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Center, 300 North Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
