Mr. Blakely served 23 years in the US Air Force, from July 19, 1967 to July 31, 1990. He was a security/photography specialist, serving during the Vietnam War. He earned many honors and medals during his service. Following his retirement, Daniel worked as a non-commissioned officer on Altus Air Force Base, OK, until relocating back to Michigan.
