THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – Detectives with the Southwest Enforcement Team, troopers with Michigan State Police, and St. Joseph County Sheriff Deputies arrested a suspect at a Three Rivers motel on Tuesday who they believed was selling narcotics.
Those three agencies executed a search warrant at the Spartan Motel off of U.S. 131 where they apprehended the 47-year-old suspect on an outstanding felony arrest warrant issued by the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.
The arrest came following a long-term investigation resulting in controlled purchases of narcotics from the suspect who was lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail.
Authorities say eight charges were filed including three counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine, four counts of Delivery of Cocaine and a count of Delivery of Fentanyl.
The Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) is a multi-jurisdictional task force that has been operating in Southwest Michigan since 1981.
