COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Historic District Commission approved a request on Monday night to replace two exit doors at the Coldwater Community Center at the Beech House in order to comply with safety codes.
Kathy Bappert from the Community Center told H.D.C. Board members in order to open the building to the public, they need to provide two safe exits with doors that swing out. She said City Building Inspector Ken Fickel has been working with them.
She said the front doors in the former Putnam Funeral Home building are being left alone for now.
In other business, the Commission voted to keep Randall Hazelbaker as its Chair while Sarah Zimmer was named Vice Chair.
