COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Housing Matters is the latest local non-profit group to get financial help from Women Who Care of Branch County.
The group voted during their May meeting to give $10,000 from the meeting to Coldwater Housing Matters which will benefit the Family Promise of Branch County shelter program.
Family Promise provides emergency housing for single adult women and any composition of families with children.
Jami Lind was the member who nominated the organization for the donation. The amount donated at the one-hour meeting puts the group’s total donation to the community at over $344,000 since it’s inception in 2014.
All donations over $10,000 go to the mini-grant fund at the Branch County Community Foundation for smaller grant recipients.
Women Who Care of Branch County meet once per quarter at the ProMedica Coldwater Conference Room.
