MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Department of Transportation says they will invest $675,000 to upgrade four rural intersections with advance warning systems. The work will include three intersections in this area.
Yellow warning signs with a flashing beacon will be installed in advance of M-60 at M-66 south of Athens and at M-60 at 8 Mile Road north of Union City.
The beacons are designed to alert drivers of potential merging traffic.
Beacons will also be installed at M-60 at M-99 east of Homer and at M-51 and Peavine Street south of Dowagiac.
Work is scheduled to start on Friday, July 7 and end by October 27, 2023
