COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Board of Directors approved a new tentative contract Wednesday night with the local United Steelworkers union.
Board member John Wellett motioned for approval of the three year contract after the board discussed negotiations of the collective bargaining agreement during a half hour closed session.
The contract calls for union members to receive a five percent pay increase in the first year along with three percent increases in the second and third years.
In other business, the board decided to keep Chris Stevens as President for the next year while Scott Ohm will serve as Vice President and Nicki Luce as secretary.
