COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After months of waiting, the new Kick’n Kountry at Old U.S. 27 and Warren Road finally has its liquor license.
Kick’n Kountry opened for business in the former Sportsman’s Lounge building a few weeks ago but has been unable to serve any alcohol.
A Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and Business After Hours event that was scheduled for last month had to be postponed because of the liquor license hold up.
John Downing of Bryan, Ohio purchased the property last fall and has totally renovated it.
The closing took place in October through Case Realty after the property had been on the market for over two years.
After being a popular place to eat and drink for many years, the Sportsman’s Bar closed in the summer of 2019.
In addition, the Kick’n Kafe next door is serving fresh Tom’s Donuts, coffee and ice cream.
