COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater has hired two new full-time firefighters in anticipation of a pending retirement and another recently announced departure.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says in his report for Monday’s City Council meeting that Richard Marske and Adam Force were part-paid firefighters who were promoted to full-time.
Force started with the Coldwater Fire Department as a Part-Paid Firefighter in January of 2021. He was promoted to full-time status on June 25, 2023 and has 23 years of firefighting experience. He is also a certified Fire Instructor and a licensed EMT.
Marske began his fire service career with the Coldwater Fire Department as a Part-Paid Firefighter in February of 2017. He will start as a full-time firefighter on August 20. He is also an Ice Rescue Technician and a certified EMT.
Baker says the City is still looking for applicants who are interested in being a part-paid firefighter.
