BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – One of the open administrative positions in the Bronson Community School District has been filled.
The district’s Board of Education approved the hiring of Laurie Doner as the new Principal at Ryan Elementary School on Monday night.
Doner is from Northville and has 26 years of educational experience in the Dearborn Public School district.
She is familiar with the Bronson area as she has family who live on Matteson Lake.
The interview process included a group of Ryan Elementary students who volunteered their time during the search for their new principal.
The district still has two administrative positions to be filled.
On line applications are being accepted through Friday for the opening in the principal’s office at Bronson Junior/Senior High School.
Meanwhile, Curriculum Coordinator and Director of Grants Kate Wall is serving as the district’s Interim Superintendent.
There has been no mention of advertising the open Superintendent’s position since the Board of Education accepted Steve Wilson’s resignation as part of a separation agreement last month.
