COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater varsity girls swim and dive team defeated Mattawan 88-64 on Tuesday night in their first home meet of the season at the Browne Aquatic Center.
Charlotte Calhoun broke the team record in the one meter dive with a score of 231.10.
The Cards won nine of the 12 events in the win. Besides Calhoun’s win in diving, Carly Krzyzanski won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle, Olivia Boland won the 50 freestyle, Ayla McCowan won the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke and Sid Aseltine finished first in the 100 freestyle.
The relay of Korrin Brown, Boland, McCowan and Calhoun finished first in the 200 medley relay while the team of McCowan, Calhoun, Aseltine and Boland finished first in the 200 freestyle relay.
The Cardinals swim again next Tuesday at Adrian.
