MATTESON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Office says a motorcyclist was injured Monday morning in a crash on North Matteson Lake Road north of Kinter Road.
They say 20-year-old Skylar John Hoard was northbound on North Matteson Lake Road when a deer ran out in front of him at about 6:15 a.m..
The Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release that Hoard was unable to avoid striking the deer. He had several injuries but they were not life threatening.
Hoard was treated by Life Care medics and transported to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for further care.
Deputies were assisted by Life Care Ambulance, the Bronson Fire Department and 911 Auto Wrecker Service.
