COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team improved its record to 4-4 on the season with a 5-2 non-conference win over Vicksburg Thursday night.
It was Teacher Appreciation/Jersey Swap Night for the Cardinals, who opened the scoring just one minute into the game on a goal from Ezaldeen Ahmed, assisted by Nabil Saied.
Vicksburg evened the score with 8:15 to play in the first half on a direct kick about 20 yards from goal. Coldwater retook the lead on a goal from Hisham Ahmed with 4:36 to play in the first half, assisted by Arif Ahmed.
Arif Ahmed picked up the next two goals of the game, scoring with 34:02 and 21:19 to play in the game, the first assisted by Umari Umari and second from Nabil Saied.
After Vicksburg got a goal back with 7:18 to play, Coldwater answered with the first varsity goal of sophomore Liam Clark’s career, assisted by Rasheed Ahmed.

Franky Ramos made seven saves in goal for Coldwater, while Mohamed Alammari made two.
The Cardinals open Interstate 8 Conference play Tuesday at Marshall.
The Coldwater junior varsity team tied Rockford 3-3, with goals from Essam Ahmed, Sebastian O’Campo, and Amer Ahmed.
Alex Martinez made seven saves in goal.
