COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Hoptoberfest is set to take place for the fourth straight year on South Monroe Street in downtown Coldwater on Saturday evening.
It will cost $5 to get into the event which is for those 21 and older. Hoptoberfest will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and it will pay tribute to Coldwater’s German heritage with sister city Soltau, Germany.
Oktoberfest beers will be featured from a variety of Michigan craft breweries, including Two Bandits Brewing Company, Bell’s Brewery, Archival Brewery Co., and New Holland Brewing Co, served at Broadway Grille.
Attendees will also be able to take advantage of Coldwater’s Social District.
German fare will be served by Amy and Mike’s Mobile Kitchen. Jay Fox and the Jammin’ Germans will provide the music while the Fort Wayne Tanzers dance troupe will perform traditional German Folk and Schuhplattler dancing.
Attendees can enter through the Tibbits Plaza parking lot alley or the allley next to Southern Roots Salon.
Hoptoberfest serves as an encore to downtown Coldwater’s Hops on Monroe. Coldwater Board of Public Utilities is the sponsor for this year’s event.
