COMSTOCK, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy boys soccer team won for the fourth time in their last six games on Wednesday night as they scored a 7-6 victory at Comstock.
Jimmy Maynard got the hat trick to lead the Quincy offense while Kaleb Hoyer scored twice.
Karter Pierce scored on a penalty kick to start the scoring for Quincy. Maynard and Kaleb Hoyer also scored for the Orioles in the first half but Quincy was behind 4-3 at halftime.
Maynard’s second goal of the match just 1:03 minutes into the second half equalized the contest at 4-4.
After the Colts took the lead back, Hoyer and Maynard scored to put Quincy into a 6-5 lead.
Bryden Wible scored to give Quincy some insurance as he sank a wild kick just out of goalies reach. Comstock would come back with another goal as the clock sank to 5:49, bringing the scoreboard to 7-6 where it would stay until the buzzer.
Quincy will honor their seniors Saturday as they will host Jonesville at 10:00 a.m..
