Roger Duane Trana, 73, of Kingwood, TX, formerly of Coldwater, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, peacefully in his home with his family surrounding him.
A private cremation service will be held and a future celebration of life is being planned,.
Roger was born on September 4, 1950 in Coldwater, Michigan to Calmer and Elsie Trana. He spent 53 years of marriage with the love of his life, Louisa Lopez Trana.
Roger attended Quincy Public Schools, Macon Public Schools, and returned to Coldwater Public Schools in 1961. Roger was a paperboy, Eagle Scout, and participated in Coldwater High School athletics, football and basketball, where he was captain and co- captain. He was also Junior and Senior class president. Roger graduated from Coldwater High School in 1968.
He attended Olivet College for two years. He married his high school sweetheart, Louisa, and transferred to Western Michigan University where he graduated Cum Laude with a BS degree in 1972. He graduated from Thomas Cooley Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in 1978.
Roger is survived by his wife, Louisa, his son Christopher (Ali), granddaughters, Alexis and Kathryn, his son, Matthew (Kimberly), grandsons, Ethan and Caleb.
Also, his brother, Randy (Donna) Trana, sister, Cathy Trana (Rob Wagner), brother-in-law Kenny Stempien, sister-in-law Diane Keys Clark, brothers-in-law, Nick Lopez, Jerry Lopez, Joe Lopez and sister-in-law, Lisa Lopez. He was preceded in death by his parents , Calmer and Elsie Trana, sister, Linda Trana Stempien, brother, Bob Trana Keys, and father and mother in-law, Emil and Pauline Lopez. Roger was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather (Tex).
He was loved by many and forever will be missed.
