HUDSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson, Union City and Quincy cross country teams competed on Saturday at the Hudson Invitational. Nearly 40 teams from Michigan and Ohio competed in the meet which was divided into divisions based on school enrollment.
Girls…
Quincy finished sixth in the upper division. Kendyl Musielewiez paced Quincy as she finished 15th. Brookelyn Parker was 19th, Sadie Miller finished 28th and Kathy Parchke was 46th.
Union City was second and Bronson finished fifth in the lower division.
Hudson edged the Chargers by five points, 85-90, to win the division.
The Vikings had two runners in the top six. Bronson’s Ashlynn Harris finished fourth with a time of 20:14.09. Ava Hathaway was sixth while Lydia Wells was 24th and Jaiden Hayes was 41st.
Union City was paced by Alli Gautsche as she was fifth with a time of 20:32.24. Skyler Fraley finished 12th, Kiera Taylor was 30th and Elizabeth Arlt was 32nd.
Boys…
Bronson was fourth in the lower division boys race while Union City was sixth.
Union City’s Ben Gautsche was fifth with a time of 16:58.68. Cohen Burdick was 27th, Cullen Decker was 31st and Montana Connell was 37th.
Bronson was paced by Tyler Wilber as he finished 18th. Dominic Kiomento was 23rd, Drew Norton finished 26th and Jack Ganton was 34th.
Quincy’s Chayse Jensen was 56th while Nathan Richer was 75th in the upper division race. The Orioles did not have enough runners for a team score.
Meanwhile, The Coldwater boys were 40th out of 46 teams on Saturday at the Portage Invitational. Luke Aerts was the top finisher for Coldwater as he was 164th. James DeWitt was 174th.
