BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – It was a busy night for Branch County girls volleyball teams on Thursday as Bronson, Union City and Quincy were all in action.
Bronson went 1-1 in a quad meet they hosted on Thursday night as they defeated Parma Western three games to one and lost to Marshall three games to nothing. Game scores were not provided.
Coach Jean LaClair said, “As good as we played against Parma, we didn’t show up against Marshall.”

Union City won a pair of matches in Centreville on Thursday night as they defeated Battle Creek St. Phillip two games to one (25-18, 17-25, 15-12) and defeated the host Bulldogs two games to nothing (25-19, 25-18).
Coach Ashley Herman said, “Our team played very well tonight. Our defense was very good and all our hitters were connecting with the ball well.”

Quincy lost all three of their matches in a quad meet they hosted on Thursday night. The Orioles lost to Clinton two games to one by scores of 14-25, 25-20, 17-19. They were also beaten two games to nothing by Climax-Scotts (19-25, 22-25) and by Colon (15-25, 23-25). Quincy statistics were not provided.
