COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School girls volleyball teams competed against Marshall on Thursday night.
The Legg 8th grade A team traveled to Marshall and fell short 6-25, 25-20, 8-15. Caydee Marske had a strong day on the serving line 11 points with 5 aces. Audrina Bucklin with 6 kills and 3 digs. Alyise Dally 4 points, 2 aces, 2 assists, 3 digs and one kill. Madelyn McCullough and Gemma McVicker each with 3 digs.Kelsey Price 3 points and 3 assists. Elizabeth Vogler with 2 points.
Legg’s 8th grade B team won all 3 sets against Marshall by scores of 30-28, 25-21, 15-8. Maria Aguirre went 9-10 with 6 aces, Claire Stroup went 9-10 with 4 aces, Maryfer Galvan went 7-7, Lily Reinhackel went 6-6 with 2 aces, Lily Scheidler went 5-6 with 4 aces, Sanessa Cowder went 5-7, Katherine Smith went 5-5 with 2 aces, Brooklyn Nelson went 4-5, Breanna Smith went 3-4, and Grace Tuttle went 3-3 with 1 ace. Maria Aguirre had 3 hits with 2 kills, Lily Reinhackel had 3 hits with 1 kill, Sanessa Cowder had 2 kills, Claire Stroup had 2 hits and Brooklyn Nelson had 1 kill.
The 7th grade A team lost to Marshall as their record dropped to 7-8. No game scores were provided. At the service line Coldwater was lead by Kirah Sloan 9-9 with 5 aces, Avrey Qualls 9-10 with 3 aces, Addy Bucklin 7-8 with 2 aces, Claire Paul 4-4 with 2 aces, Onysti Mitchell 2-2, McKenzie Miller 3-5 with 2 aces, Hadley Schabloski 2-4 with 1 ace. Addy Bucklin also added 7 digs and 3 kills, McKenzie Miller 2 digs and 3 kills, Kirah Sloan 3 kills, Julia Trojanowski 3 digs.
The 7th grade B team defeated Marshall two games to one, taking the first game 25-18, dropping the second game 22-25, and coming back and winning the third game 15-11. Stats for the Lady cards is Paula Mancera serving 21/21, 8 aces, 5 digs, Cali Mock served 8/11, 1 ace, 7 digs, Keiara Collins served 8/10, 6 aces, Kaitlyn Carter served 8/8, 2 aces, 11 digs, Keeley Love served 6/7, 2 aces, 3 digs, Felicity Winright served 3/5, 1 ace, 2 digs, Livia Williams had 3 digs, and Saige Auble had 2 digs.
