BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Board of Education appointed Kate Wall as the district’s Superintendent on Monday night. The appointment is effective immediately.
According to a press release from the Bronson Board of Education, Wall and the Board are working on the terms of an agreement to be finalized and accepted at the next Board meeting on November 6, 2023.
Wall was the Curriculum Coordinator and Director of Grants when she was named the Interim Superintendent in June after the board accepted Steve Wilson’s resignation as Superintendent as part of a separation agreement.
Board President Jan Byler says, “Mrs. Wall was able to step in when we needed an interim leader in June. Since then, she has shown she is a qualified and adept leader of our district. In addition to the board’s observations, we’ve received positive feedback from staff, parents, and community members on her performance. We’re thrilled to be able to find a candidate with the right fit and promote a talented administrator from within our district.”
Wall came to the Bronson School district in 2008 to teach first grade. She also served one year as the Elementary Math Interventionist during her nine-year tenure in Bronson before going to Mendon Community Schools to serve as their Elementary Principal for two years.
Wall returned to the district in 2019 as Anderson Elementary Principal and was named Curriculum, Instruction, and Grants Coordinator in 2022.
Wall holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Ball State University and a Master of Arts in K-12 Educational Administration and Supervision from Ball State University.
Wall stated, “Bronson Schools are home for me. We have a talented staff and support team who want what is best for our students. I’m excited to continue my journey here and lead the district into the future.”
