COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A “shelter in place” was enacted for a short time on Thursday at Coldwater High School.
According to a post on the school’s Facebook page, school administration got information at around 11:30 a.m. of a potential threat in the vicinity of the school.
The post went on to say, “To ensure the safety of our students and staff, we enacted a shelter in place for the school. Coldwater Police were notified and helped to investigate the report.”
It was determined there was no threat to C.H.S. students or staff, and the “shelter in place” was lifted less than an hour later.
School officials went on to say, “We appreciate the support of the School Resource Officer and the Coldwater Police Department. As always, school safety is a top priority for Coldwater Community Schools.”
