COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Southern Michigan Bank and Trust President and Chief Executive Officer John Waldron has announced the appointment of Kevin Twardy as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Twardy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He brings extensive experience within the banking industry, formerly as a financial institution auditor with Ernst & Young, followed by 29 years as Chief Financial Officer for many successful Michigan community banks.
He served as CFO of Commercial National Financial Corporation in Ithaca starting in 2012.
Waldron said, “We are pleased to welcome Kevin to our Senior Management team here at Southern. His impressive background in finance, coupled with his proven track record in the banking industry, will undoubtedly strengthen our financial operations and drive our growth initiatives.”
Twardy resides in Coldwater, after recently relocating from Ithaca. He is active in the community and looks forward to volunteering for future bank-supported events.
