COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Commissioners brought forward a request from Sheriff John Pollack during their work session on Thursday to sell at least four old vehicles.
The oldest vehicle is a 2008 F-150 pickup. The others were manufactured between 2010 and 2017.
Pollack says the vehicles are either not being used or are too costly to repair. He added a fifth vehicle maybe kept depending on the 2024 budget.
One of the vehicles is a 2017 Explorer that has a blown motor and damage from an accident. Commissioners are scheduled to take formal action next Tuesday.
How do we get more information about this?
When seconds count our sheriff deputies will be more then minutes away if we don’t have reliable vehicles for them. Should not even have to discuss this issue. Give them what they need to keep the public safe.
