HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says a suspect who was wanted on a warrant for several felony charges was arrested over the weekend.
The Sheriff’s Department reported on Monday that Hillsdale City Police arrested 44-year-old Justin Lee Rimmer on Saturday. A warrant for Rimmer’s arrest was issued on October 19.
He was wanted by Hillsdale Police for assault with intent to murder, domestic violence-third offense, first degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping and aggravated assault.
According to the Michigan Department of Corrections web site, Rimmer absconded from parole on May 5 from Lenawee and Adrian Counties. He was given a five year prison sentence in June of 2020 for assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or strangulation.
Rimmer was being held without bond after he was booked at the Hillsdale County Jail.
